This doesn’t work anymore!
I scavenged the internet for a proper tutorial on this issue. But all those I found don’t work anymore OR are outdated.
I finally created my own way to create an iTunes Store account and this method WORKS 100%!!!
Follow the following steps, and you’ll create an account for free in no time!!!
1. Open iTunes. Then open iTunes Store.
2. Click on Redeem at the right-hand-side panel.
3. Enter any one of the following gift codes. They will do for the trick to work. Then click “Redeem”.

XXRSNMLSWY4BFZDK >> (This code worked for me. The trick is to obtain a valid gift code that has already been used. There are websites were iTunes gift codes are posted. Get a used, valid code from them and use it for this trick to work) <<
4. Both the codes above have expired. But don’t worry, even then this trick will work.
5. The screen will refresh once you click “Redeem”. Then it will tell that the code has already been redeemed. That’s OK. Once the screen loads, click the home button on the top left (marked with the arrow in the picture below).
6. Once the home page loads, click the “Sign In” button on the top right of the page. The “Sign In” window pops up. Choose to create a new account.
7. Give in all your details as required. When you reach the payment options, you will get the “none” option. AWESOME. I don’t need to mention that you have to use that option. Then, simply give an address (if you live in a country where iTunes Store isn’t available, like me, then just find a proper address in a country where iTunes Store is available and type that in and click continue.)
That’s it. You’ve just got yourself a free iTunes Store account. Congratulations!!!
Now all those “FREE ON iTunes” goodies are yours for FREE. And not to mention the album artworks

it doesnt work for me
when i tried to clik continue it says that an unknown error has ocurred but it makes the account anyways. when i try to buy something with that account it takes me to the billing information

hey, i created an account like this and it actually worked! BUT, i think itunes has caught on now… because now it has a box for “Gift certificates” and stuff… after you click “payment method – none”…. and if it’s not a credible gift certificate it says “Fix code or enter a different method of payment”

I encounter the same problem as others. Even after selecting none it says that “The code you entered is not valid”. May be its because of the address. U can save us a big fuss if you post your login id and password we can login with that account i mean i think most of us need only the album art.
